Hello there!

i like Foxit and would like to introduce it to our company.
but..
there is some issue while filling out forms:

get from this page (its the European Patent Office)
http://www.epo.org/patents/Grant-procedure/Filing-an-application/European-applications/forms.html
the editable PDF of
"1001 Request for grant of a European patent".

Now, while filling out fields like 9 (Zustellanschrift), 16, 24 or 32,
you will note, that the first chars are written in quite big fonts. As more
as you type into the fields, the font gets smaller..
thats not ok.

In Adobe the Font is all the same size.
that is correct.

When you save the edited PDF in Foxit and reopen it in Adobe, you get the same behave like in Foxit.
thats not ok, too.

Somehow strange behave..

greetings,
Simon

[Edit]
ps. Search didn't help.

Hello DaPinky,

Double-click the text field/Appearance/Font Size, change it.

But this is somehow unfriendly, I will report to improve it.

Sorry, but double-click doesn't work, so i can't select any font size Appearance..
Maybe i need the Foxit Designer or Editor to do that?
I'm using the Foxit Reader Free edition by now..

thanks anyway!

Oh, you can do this with the free version.

In the Reader window, go to Tools menu /Advanced Editing Tools/Text Field, you will see the text fields are surrounded by rectangles with size-handles. Then, double clicking one of the rectangles will brought up the Properties box, and click Appearance to change the font size.

I have this problem, too.
Several files in our company have forms that get a bigger font size once you change the content of the form.
The funny thing is... the text gets bigger when you click into a form field but gets back to normal if you don't change anything.
Is it possible to fix this? 'cause i don't want to change all our files and i don't want to use adobe reader 8...

EDIT:
Can really no one help me with this?

Ok Bmn, I've re-opened the above Mantis ID 0004511 again, but as a piece of suggestion. Because this is not a bug, the form author set the font size as "auto" , which reader automatically adjusts its size per the field size and the content you input.

Hmm i see.
Is it possible to disable the autosize globally?
The formfields in our documents are a little too big, thats why the fontsize gets too big once you change the content.

I see. I will add your comment to the above mantis ID. The developer take the decision.
