Hi all!

At the place I work I just got the task of getting a good pdf reader for the thin clients that are used. I've installed Foxit reader, but when I try to run the application, I just get an error saying that it's "not a valid Win32 application".

The XP-version on the thin clients is a very slim version, with not that many features, so there might be requirements that foxit needs, which that xp installment can't supply.

Does anyone here have any input? Is this a known problem?

Hello Gnome,

Foxit Reader doesn't require any special features to suppot. Could you let me know, which installation package you are using? I will think the following two as the cause:

1. the setup package didn't be downloaded completely, data may lost during transmission.
2. the installation didn't be installed properly, eventhough there was 'finish prompt'

Hello! Thank for you quick answer =)

Thanks for asking that question, I tried the MSI-install and it worked.

I'm pretty relieved, installing 100mb software on a thin client with 512mb of total storage capacity is pure waste. Thanks!

Hello Gnome,

I think the msi package was not downloaded completely, that's why you have the problem. Please download again. If you are not sure if foxit reader can be run on your thin client, you can dwonload a zip file without installation for testing.

Please note, sometime broken msi package can be installed as normal, but the its program will faill to run.
