Can't type Russian in my PDFs

I am trying to use Foxit Reader to fill out a PDF that needs input in both Russian and English. When I toggle to Russian on my keyboard and attempt to enter it in the PDF form using the typewriter tool, I just get a bunch of "O"s. This is certainly not a problem with languages/alphabets installed on my computer, because Foxit Reader is the only program I have that has a problem with this.

I am using Licensed Version 2.2 build 2129, and I've installed all updates it says are available to me.

Similar problem with typing russian text in highlight fields - "oano" instead "тест" in this (http://www.fms.gov.ru/documents/passport/zp25.pdf) document. In Adobe Acrobat Reader 8.1.1 all typing correctly.
