this way of translating is IMHO not that effective...
From page 10 on, the terms keep repeating.

why not just release a language file?

page 22 finish in german - omfg too much doubled terms.
i kept some out cause i dont know the real context - when i work here offline i have context to a specific dialog or menu entry.

yes - a language file would be much better and easier to implement.
have a look "free download manager"

I'm trying to translate the interface but this translation system has some bugs:

1 - Sometimes when I click next to translate next page it gives "please login first" and I loose all the text I translated in the current page

2 - Sometimes when I click next it goes to next page correctly but it doesn't save the text I inserted in previous page so I have to rewrite it all

3 - It's not possible to make modifications on already translated text so if you write it wrong you cannot replace/correct it because the system allows one entry only for each account

Please fix them :)

I have lost my patience. I suggest that you refine all the strings and sentences, their repeating made me tired and annoyed. I translated these terms for 2 day now......OMG

You can think this:
Only the intents are perfect... not human people and... the trust is a rare quality

is my signature and my idea for life.....

Hi everyone,

We would like to introduce another way of localization.
Please go to "Localized Foxit Reader" section of the forum.
Follow the instruction there and download the xml file there and translate it.
It might be easier and faster to do the translation that way.
Please tell us what you think.

Thanks.

Thanks for this alternative method but I think it's more difficult because you have to keep a lot of attention when editing the file.
You could delete/change some characters not related to the translation.
So I prefer the first method and I'd like to use it for the translation.

Is it now bug-free? If so I'll finish my work in a short time :)

Hi guys,

Sorry for the delay.
Our developers have fixed the bug.
Now you may continue working on the translation.
Just to remind you that you have two choices.
You may either use our translation web site or translate the xml file.

hey everyone! i just spent a little while reworking the (partially really horrible) german translation.
I corrected all typos i found (which were a lot) and also corrected tons of grammar mistakes and changed some 'unusual' expressions. it should be a lot better to read and understand now. :)

edit: removed the file, because i just found out, that there already is a better, german version from a newer template (which foxit strangely does not put in the language download/update funtion) here: http://foxitsoftware.com/bbs/showpost.php?p=5671&postcount=13
(sorry for the harsh pm, H_S, but i really felt attacked by your msg at first)
