Hello Group,
i love Foxit Reader due to its speed and small size, but is there an option to disable the automatic update check?
We are using Foxit within Application-Virtualization (Softgrid), where no user can ever make use of any update function!

Hello Mario,
Thanks for your love of foxit. We will add a user option for disabling/enabling automatic update prompt. Please focus on next version.

We too would like to disable auto updates. Foxit is now our preferred .pdf reader on all machines in my two school buildings and most of these machines are frozen with Deep Freeze. Update notifications are just confusing and unnecessary use of bandwidth for my computers. Thank you though for a great product. It is far superior to the .pdf readers we have used in the past.

The next version will be release in one or two months.
Please keep an eye on it.
Have a great time!

In the mean time, how can I disable updates via the registry?

For those critical addon updates, they could not be disalbed. For other updates, you can disable auto update by setting INI file "IsAutoUpdate=0 "
