In Win 98SE still no graphics can be printed by Foxit reader :1_29:
I hoped this bug would be fixed...

Can you provide more information about that problem?
All graphics?
Which printer?
aka
June 4th, 2006, 11:15 AM
Yes, all graphics, there was a topic on this subject in the foxit reader forum but I think it's already been deleted.
On WinXP the printing is normal with version 1.3 build 1621, I didn't try the 2.0 beta version yet on XP, but on 98Se it just doesn't print and my paper comes out blank. I had this problem on earlier versions of foxit also...

Is there any chance this will be fixed in the final 2.0 version?.

I don't think it's a printer issue cause I can print the file using my laptop, who has XP on the same printer. My printer is HP deskjet 840C. Maybe it helps...

Try to print this file!
With 1.3 and 2.0 under XP there are much error lines.
With Acrobat everything works!

Hi all,
Currently, Foxit Reader has encouter print problem with some HP printers. Our developers are working on this issue right now. I will post a testing version very soon here on the forum for your testing.

AT LAST someone has recognised there's a problem "with some HP printers" (who happen to be one of the very biggest printer manufacturers in the world!)
My old post http://www.foxitsoftware.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=876 raised the query but idiots were saying "it prints OK for me" but OBVIOUSLY not on an HP printer!
Let's hope it's sorted soon.
aka

Does this problem includes that there is a difference between a Win98SE and a XP- version of the printer driver?

So far as we know, this problem is printer-dependent rather than OS dependent.
Easy, binman! We are working on this problem and I am sure we can locate this problem in the end.

@arthur,
when the problem isn't OS dependent, how can you explain than why the graphics aren't printed in 98SE, but they are on win XP using the same printer?

I second the motion. How can this topic go on and on month after month like this without Foxit doing anything about it? Didn't 2.0 come out in early June 2006? I can't print anything with Foxit reader (either 1.3 or 2.0 beta). Most of the characters look like Chinese.

Hi,
If anyone who has a printer problem, would you please download this program from our website (http://www.foxitsoftware.com/tools/Getprinterinfo.exe).
Please make sure that you click "select printer" and post all the information on your printers? It will help more.
If there were a file attached, that would be appreciated.
Thanks

NEW VERSION 2.0 EXACTLY THE SAME PROBLEM!!
I thought the techies were meant to try to sort out the HP printer problems. No?
I'm sorry guys, but if you can't get this fixed pretty damn quick then I'm off back to Acrobat which at least allows me to use one of the worlds biggest suppliers of desktop printers: HP!

Yup, that one works, but in the original link the parenthesis (round bracket) at the end was included in the link, so it didn't link. Small point.
Hope the prob with printing gets sorted. I'll remain with Foxit, grateful for a great free program. Thanks, guys.

Hi,
We never try to ignore HP printer. We are still working on it.
Please forgive us for delay.
But we do not possess the printer you have, so the only way for us to solve your printer problem is to send you our new version for your testing.
So anyone who still has a printer problem with 2.0 final, please leave me your emails or send me (support@foxitsoftware.com) your printer information and test file, I will send you new version or new build of Reader for your testing as soon as possible.
By the way, if you can send me a scanned problematic paper you printed, that will be really appreciated.
