As politely as possible.:1_22:
Does anyone actually TRY to fix bugs like this?
I forwarded this to support who came back & told me it worked fine for them but obviously they were using a different printer.
Is anyone actually trying to fix these bugs on specific printers?
After all, you DO ASK for the printer details which I supplied.
As I say, I'm trying to be polite but until it's fixed I cannot use Foxit and have had to resort to Acrobat if I want to print anything.:1_22:

I printed the doc on 3 different printers. HP5P, HP 5500, Epson 1100C.
All prints are fine!
So don't blame FR but blame your printer (or HP) or at least the one who bought your printer.

OBVIOUSLY it will print on some printers but NOT on a hp psc 700 series
I thought THAT was the reason we're meant to point out which printers do not work with Foxit; no?

I have already privately messaged Foxit, but just to weigh in publicly on the matter - I can't get a readable printout of anything except 12 point or larger text on my HP 950C. Everything smaller - especially text within tables, comes out looking like Chinese. (Not that Chinese is bad, but the documents all used roman characters). I never had any such problem with Acrobat, and my printer works perfectly for every other printing job I give it. If Foxit software isnt compatible with many, most, or all Hewlett-Packard printers, they have a BIG problem. BIG BIG LARGE HUGE ENORMOUS HOMONGOUS, STAGGERING OVERWHELMING STUPENDOUS PROBLEM. (imho)

Hi,
I got the same problem as you with a HP 3820 printer.
I printed the attached file in the first post, and could note that the titles in bigger fonts were printed correctly.
Too bad for Foxit.:1_01:
Hope somebody can help !!

Hi all,
I fully understand that getting such kind of print result will never be a pleasent experience. Frankly speaking, I got serveral similar cases recently.
The problems are similar: text or images could not be printed out correctly, some might be very blur, or printed out as mirror image. And they all tested fine with both virtual printer (Fineprinter) and our physical printer (server printer Konica 1300w). Therefore, we will first try to collect as much info as possible to re-produce this problem which might be very time-consuming.
For anyone who run into such kind of problem, pls kindly give us information below:
1. picture of your print result if possible
2. your OS information
3. your detailed printer info. (Pls run attached getprinterinfo.exe program, select your printer, and save the detailed printer info to send to us).
4. Your sample PDF, ofcourse.

Arthur, getprinterinfo doesn't show all information If you select directly a printer in the upper list "The printer you have installed:".
But it shows all information if you select it with button "Select printer"

When I print the attached document with beta 2.0 all the text is "double dutch". The lines, boxes, and graphic are ok. When I use version 1.3 or Adobe Reader 6 it prints fine.
I'm printing to an old Brother HL-1660e laser printer.
Your surrender[1].pdf printed ok.
How do others fair printing my attached document?
I switched to beta 2.0 because it fixes the slow searching problems that earlier versions have.
Cheers, Bill

I got a problem with the HP Laserjet 1010, it is connected to another computer, I print over network.
1. If I go to print and select the printer a Foxit Window appears with the message:
"The specified resource type cannot be found in the image file."
The preview does not work, but I can print. So far the print looks ok (I only printed a few documents).
2. If I go first to "Print Setup" to choose the printer and then to "Print" it works.

Hi,
Would you please follow Arthur's suggestion send us your printer information and files for testing?
If the file is kind of private, please send email(support@foxitsoftware.com) or use our ticket system and make a link to this forum.
If you are using Getprintinfor.exe, please make sure that you click the "select printer" and send me the complete information you get.
Thank you very much.
