Well I was so excited about Foxit Reader. The typewriter feature is my favorite. Plus the program is not bloated like Adobe's. And I could go on and on...
:1_25:
But there is one very serious bug that makes it impossible for me to use the software. I do a lot of shipping which involves printing out labels from UPS, Fedex and DHL. These labels have barcodes which printed just fine with Adobe, and appear just fine on screen with either program. However Foxit Reader does not print these barcodes correctly. As a result the DHL driver was not able to scan them in. Needless to say, this caused much difficulty for both of us. Attached are samples showing the problem. First is a screen capture showing how it looks on the computer - no problem there. Second is a scan of the printed page which came out incorrectly. The original PDF file is also attached.
FYI: I'm running Foxit Reader v1.3 beta build 0519 on Windows XP. I also tried the newest version (beta build 0708) and it does the same thing. Please advise.
Thanks,
John Rowell
