I use Foxit Reader and use the highlight tool. But for printing in the university I have to open it there with adobe acrobat reader. If I do so, Adobe tells me, it couldn't open the document. There is a mistake in working the document, and a value is not in the allowed range (Sorry, German), translated from German.
Knows anybody what to do, and is there a transportable Version of Foxit for usb? That would be great,
good time

Are you using the newest version 3309? If so, please open the file, save it again, and have a try. Any questions, please let me know.

pdf is pdf right?
After using the encircle tool in Foxit I can open it correctly with Acrobat 6 but with Acrobat 8 it shows up as a blank page.
I certainly hope you can solve this problem soon.

Hi all and Nicodep, I've reported this issue to our developer team for processing with high priority. Report Mantis ID:0007058

But it not happens to all files. Can someone please provide us an original file for testing ? Thanks a bunch in advance.

I'm 95% sure of the following:

www.lokomec.fi/pdf/cartridges_cel.pdf
This one was downloaded from internet by Foxit "save as". It opens in Acrobat 6 but in acrobat 8 it shows up blank.

No editing was done with Foxit.

Christina, please confirm that you experience the same problem. If not I will find another pdf with a "working" bug. I know it happend several times.

foxit reader is a portable version, it is not necessary to install.

foxit reader is a portable version, it is not necessary to install.I think this isn't exactly accurate. It is true that Foxit requires no install, but it DOES write to the registry, despite many previous requests by users to have Foxit save settings to an ini file only, so it can't be described as truly "portable", as defined when referring to software.

So what is the status on this Christina? Have you been able to "recreate" the bug on some of the files I sent you?

I'm having this same problem, in fact, I signed up for the forums just to see if it can be fixed. My problematic file is hosted here:

http://www.box.net/shared/h0ua5h5kyj

Note: This file is compressed with 7-zip. You can get it at 7-zip.org.

It opens fine in Foxit - love the program by the way - but adobe hates it. I get a 110 error when trying to open in adobe.

Click on the link in my message.

Click the "download" button in the middle of the screen.

Open with 7-zip.

If that doesn't work...dunno.

Hello, there is a work-around comes from developers. Please follow the steps.
1, Please create a new PDF file.
2, With Ctrl+a, copy and paste all the contents in the new PDF file, then save it.
So you can open the new file with Adobe.
