Text Search not working at all

Hi. :) I'm new to Foxit Reader (Ver.2.3 build 3309) and just found out that the text search isn't working AT ALL. It doesn't find words that are cleary in the page/file. Is this the way it is for free version? It only says "Reader has finished searching the document. No matches were found." I went through some of the threads about the function but couldn't tell. Thank you for your help.

Is the file a scanned file or an image? Can you send this file to support@foxitsoftware.com?

Thanks for the reply. I'll send some files when I get home. Those are the text ones (I don't know how to call them). I didn't try with image pdfs (they're unsearchable, are they?).

A straight way is using Text Viewer. If they are image pdfs, their contents can't be shown in Text Viewer screen.
