I am using Foxit PDF Reader 1.3 Beta, when I try to print any pdf file to any network HP printer. Nothing prints or it takes over 5 minutes to get anything out of the printer.

I go into Task Manager Foxit PDF Reader is Not Responding and I have to end task on Foxit PDF Reader.

In Event Viewer I am getting an error with Source: EAPOL, Category: None, Type: Information, Event ID: 2003, Description:The description for Event ID ( 2003 ) in Source ( EAPOL ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. The following information is part of the event: The event log file is corrupt..

Thank you,

arthur

rwurwin,

did you try to print to the same printer from the Adobe reader?
I have the same problem with a Cannon printer, and for some reason any pdf I try to print, using either Foxit or Adobe, takes for ever. The version of Adobe I use doesn't seem to make any difference.

The printer seems to work fine otherwise.

So far, HP Laserjet printer seems not so compatible for Foxit Reader. Our developers are working on this issue to dig out the problem to make HP more friendly :1_11:

FWIW, I have no problem printing from an older HP Laserjet IIIP with 4 meg onboard ram.

I use Foxit Beta 1.3 0708 on both a desktop and laptop running W2K sp4. I can print from either computer stand alone, or networked together.

Printing doesn't work with my HP LaserJet 1005. I get this error: "can not get the dc of the printer!".

Driver version: 5.51.2103.0
SO: Win2000 SP4 full patched

I'm regretted because Foxit PDF Reader seems a wonderful software... :-/

We have a Konica printer, which prints fine with all testing. But we are going to test more types of printers under different OS to shoot this trouble.
