Foxit Reader 2.3 does not support 256 bit AES encryption of Acrobat 9. Is it going to be fixed soon?

Thank you

Yes, our version 3.0 supports this type of encryption.

Still does not work.

Foxit Reader 3.0 Build 1120 (Win XP SP3) does not decrypt documents encrypted by 256 bits AES encryption (Adobe 9 compatible).

See attached file encrypted.pdf (password: 123456)

Foxit Reader 3.0 does not open it.

Sorry Dmitry, it seems that the decryption module doesn't be updated successfully in Reader.

I will report it to the developers team for processing.

Sorry, somehow it hasn't been updated yet. Current Foxit Reader supports only 128-bit encryption.

Any update on this issue? It looks Foxit reader can NOT support any of AES encryption including 128 and 256. It only supports RC4-40/128 encryption.

Next version will support 256-bit encryption.

Did the version that was released 9/3/09 fix this, or were you referring to a major release like a Foxit 4 that will address this issue?

Sorry, it was planned to be supported in 3.1, but don't know why it was not...:(
Hopefully it would be support in 4.x.

Christina, it works!

See attached file (created by Adobe Acrobat 9, 256 bit encryption).

I can open the file by Foxit Reader
