Eslick issues: nice hardware software needs improvement
I got my eslick on Fr! And must say the hardware is very nice: the navigation button a little hard to press and the side buttons need are a little hard to find.
The software on the other and definitely needs some improvement in order to be a real kindle killer. I hope the eSlick FW can be updated.
Just my 2-cents:
a) booting with an SD (2GB) 90% full takes more about 2 minute.... this kind of readers should be almost instant on! i.e. as easy as reading a printed paper.
b) navigation of the SD card directory is really really slow, a tree view would be nice.
c) Would be nice to have incremental page scrolling, is really hard to read when the page jumps are so big.
e) Would be nice if the zooming and landscape mode selection should be 1-click away. currently is Menu->Zoom->etc.
f) To make it a killer device a WiFi (via the SD or USB ports), and a little browser to access pdfs would make this device definitively the kindle killer.
Little nice things to have:
1) user manual / or tutorial in the SD or the main memory.
