Any ideas if Zagg has specific shield or something similar to the size of eSlick for protection ?

Answer to my own question:
Screen protection for Sony Reader can be used for eSlick since the size is the same: http://www.zagg.com/invisibleshield/...ns-shields.php |

The one marked for the Kindle screen also fits perfectly.

I've tried Zagg's shield, and there's a big problem. Zagg provided a display shield, a spray to clean fingerprints, and a plastic piece to remove bubbles. After applying the shield, I plugged the power line and waited until the indicating light extinguished. And then, the eSlick was turned on several hours later, and it's found that there's no enough battery to wake it up. Laterly, I've tried to charge it and its red light did not extinguish after 6 hours. Unplugging and tring turn it on, the battery bar showed full, but about 3 hours later it was out of charge.
That is, my eSlick lost its recharging ability, or say, it became losing charge quickly. I'm not sure if the problem was caused by the Zagg spray, or unexpected breakdown within eSlick or battery by other reasons. However, when plugging the wire, I can manipulate eSlick. Hi, Foxit, do you provide any repairing service? (Sighing) Or what if I try to purchace a new Li-ion battery and replace the old one? Last edited by Yau-Hsien; April 6th, 2009 at 05:22 PM. |

Then, news. After being patient, I've tried replugging the battery and recharging eSlick. Thing seemed back to be normal that red light was out after 3 hours charging, and battery life is OK after being off 3 hours. I hope that the good state will last more than 6 hours.
Repairing service seems not in need. |

A possible test of this is as follows : 1. Charge unit until red LED goes out. Remove USB cable to AC adapter. 2. Turn unit ON and verify full charge, 4 black battery bars, and turn unit OFF 3. Charge unit for a half hour (with no LED). Remove USB cable. 4. Turn unit ON and verify battery bars, turn unit OFF. 5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until battery bars have been reduced to 3. 6. Optional - repeat steps 3 and 4 until battery bars have been reduced to 2. 7. etc. Report charging time to reduce battery bars. Regards, Don |

Also, you are supposed to wait a minimum of 3-4 hours after installing a zagg shield to charge or turn on the device again.

Thank you. But sorry, it's no as the problem you mentioned. The problems I met were that the battery lost when eSlick is off, and when charging the red light was never out after 5 hours. It seems different from the over-charging issue.

How does the zagg shield look on your screen? Like does it reduce visibility, etc.

Look at the pictures from my "mini-review" thread. It adds some glare in sunlight if you hold it at an angle, but who does that anyway? Still perfectly readable and much moreso overtime because you won't get smudges and fingerprints all over the place.
