The Del button does not work when I try to delete a book, The book vanishes from view but when I re-start the ESlick the book I deleted there again.
I can't even delete them when connected by the USB, I have tried resetting the ESlick but nothing works. I'm getting CRC errors when trying to open books from main memory, the main memory is completly full. How do I reset the device and start over? The unit memory seems to be completely corrupt. I have the same issue.
I have some files to delete out of memory, but nothing I tried has worked yet. On the eSlick, it appears to delete, as the file disappears from the list of files. I turn it off, and the file is back in the list. I try to delete it via usb cable to my pc, getting 'Are you sure you want to delete" then an error "cannot find the specified file" and after clicking OK, the file disappears from the list, and does not reappear with F5 refresh. I disconnect the eSlick, power it down and back up, and the file is still there, reconnect it to the PC and see it there, too. Pushing the reset button while powered down or powered up did nothing. I tried to format the memory F: drive from my computer, and that failed, too. Do you have any suggestions? The eSlick is working great, otherwise. I think the problem began when I tried to copy a file too large for free space on the memory. I was getting cyclic redundancy check errors. I copied the files I need to the SD drive, meanwhile. |

I had all the same symptoms, and I believe mine was caused by copy a file to large also. The ESlick support team sent me some files that erased all files in memory and reinstalled the OS. So I would contact support for help.

Hi Cristina,
Are you sure it's okay to format the Main Memory?Does Eslick's Operating System doesn't save important system files in the Main Memory? Thanks! |

The format doesn't affect Operating System, but please backup your files.

Christina:
I formated the main memory today with allocation size of 512k and FAT32. But the capacity decreased from 71 M to 68 M. Is that normal? And how to set the allocation size and file system? Good thing is that the files do not show up, which were tough to be deleted. Thanks! Also, I formated my SD, FAT (default) and allocation size (default) since I had a strange folder, right now, it's gone after formating. |
