I just put an order early morning of yesterday (first of April). And I received an email saying that the eSlick would be shipped out around 10th. And another email asked me to register the newsletter, I did that after reading the email. Right now, I wonder if a tracking number will be sent to me while the eSlick is shipped out to me.
Another thing is that I sent sales department an email to request a discount, I am waiting for the reply. I requested the educational discount via my university email address with order number, transaction number, my name, and credit card information. I checked my credit card account, it was fully charged ($259.99+$10), not as it was said that 50 bucks were charged first as a deposit on the page of order confirmation. P.S. Since the cost is high, I did a few days research. I think that sony 700 or eSlick is good for me. Finally, I decided to buy eSlick. The reason is that I have tons of PDF journal papers to read for my research. I don't like to print out those papers for the review. So I need a good reader which can handle science and engineering papers well. Also, for students, it is much easier to carry those digital textbooks and papers to anywhere by eSlick. eSlick is the best choice for me if I can use it to review those journal PDF papers as I expect. Looking forward to seeing it ASAP. |

You will receive a tracking number when it is shipped.
There is no educational discount at this time since it is at a promotional price. You will be very happy with the PDF support, especially when it reflows the document. |

I just got an email notice saying that eSlick would be shipped out next Friday. But I do understand that the application will be updated or upgraded based on the feedbacks. So I am happy with that.

The application has improved, so we didn't want to release it too early. Sorry for the delay.

Erik, How about the battery life of this batch of eSlick?

The battery life is same as stated. You can get up to 8000 page turns on a single charge.

Erik: Under what conditions is that 8000 page turns measured? The best I've been able to do is about 600 (and from many reports, this is not uncommon).

Erik,
Have you identified the causes of the battery problems as eSlick fans discussed here? Have you got those problems solved already? ![]() Thanks Robbie |

Yes the problems are solved by a new software update and in some cases a new battery. Please see other posts or e-mail support.
