Uninstall/Remove Foxit Firefox plugin

I've Googled and searched through this forum for a clear method of uninstalling the Foxit Reader plugin from Firefox. In my Windows installation, there is no listing in programs in the programs and features applet to allow for uninstall, and there is nothing under the plugin menu in Firefox for uninstall.

I like the Foxit Reader application very much but I absolutely hate this Firefox plugin in its current state. I would like very much to remove it properly. I'd like to think that the good folks at Foxit who developed this plugin would have a clear method of clean removal/uninstall. If so, I'd appreciate it much if they would share it.

In Firefox, have you tried going to TOOLS-->ADD-ONS-->PLUG-INS and disabling Foxit reader?

Sure. But I don't want to merely disable it. I want it properly uninstalled.

hello, there is a work around to remove Firefox plugin.
Please delete "npFoxitReaderplugin.dll" and "FoxitReaderOCX.ocx" file and go to Mozilla Folder/plugins, delete "npFoxitReaderplugin.dll".
