Default Tool to translate Foxit language files

Hi guys, just a heads-up that the next version of IniTranslator will include a plugin to edit the Foxit Reader xml language files.

You can find out more about IniTranslator here:

http://initranslator.sourceforge.net

You can monitor the project to get notified when a new release is available.

If you have comments ideas and suggestions for the Foxit Reader, please post them in the appropriate IniTranslator forum.

Thanks for listening.

Quick guide to editing Foxit language files in IniTranslator:

- select File-Import-Import from Foxit Reader
- specify the files to import
- edit the items in IniTranslator
- when ready to save, select File-Export-Export to Foxit Reader
- specify the file to save to
- except for the export, there is no need to save the file(s) the "normal" way

Hi Peter,
I'm trying it but it doesn't work

I selected import, selected original and translated file but when i press ok it shows an error window saying "only one top element is allowed in an xml document"

file is ok because it works fine with foxit reader and i can open it in ie without errors

can you check this please?

thank you friend :D

Unhappy

Thanks a lot for providing this useful tool. But at the moment, we can not use it properly since the original language file (lang_en_us.xml) available is outdated

The problem is that the xml file contains a tag after the end tag of the root and this is not valid xml. Open your xml file in Notepad and remove the last line:

<script language=javascript>window.close();</script> ;

You should now be able to edit the file in IniTranslator.

Sorry I haven't replied before, but I haven't been on this forum since my original post

BTW, a new version has just been released, so go check it out:
