Default Not able to install.

Hi,

I decided to purchase the PDF Creator since I have been very happy with the reader. I uninstalled the previous evaluation version of the creator, but when I tried to install the one I downloaded after purchase nothing happened. I just see the hourglass spin for a brief moment, then nothing. I’ve tried everything even remove creator entries from the registry, but no go. It simply won’t install. I have used doPDF in the past. I also tried to uninstall and resinstall that to see if I have problems creating printers or something like that, but doPDF installed just fine.

I have run out of things to try. Kind of irritating since I purchased it and want to use it. Oh well, I hope someone here will be able to help me out.

Default Not able to install

To give you some "courage" : you are not alone; If you downloaded your .exe (458KB ?) recently (between march 3th and march 5th) it has problably to do with a new build that support team posted on the web-site (after I sent in a problem report on the previous version). I can not install the new version neither .

Default I can't get it to install either.

My error message says that I need "administer's privilege," but I am an administrator. The installer says that the program installed but it's not listed in Programs although the exe file is there.

Please, we need a fix for this!

Default Version 1.0 Build 2212 (453 KB 03/05/07) installed correctly and Word Addin working

I would like to confirm here that the PDF Creator version 1.0 Build 2212 (453 KB on 03/05/07) I downloaded march 6th, installed without any problem (Windows XP SP2 PC, logged in as Administrator), and works.

I also tested the 'Convert to PDF' Icon Addin feature in the MS Word toolbar (my Word is a Word 2000 version). I used a test document with Heading style formatting, Table of Contents (TOC) and Hyperlinks.
Clicking the 'Convert to PDF' icon in the Word Toolbar generated a PDF document that contained :

(1) Bookmarks in an outline structure that matches exactly the Heading format outline structure in my Word document (Heading 1,,2,3,etc styles)

(2) Links within the PDF document that correspond (and work like) the Hyperlinks in my Word document.

(3) Links in the Table of contents that point directly to the corresponding paragraph titles in the PDF document (I suppose these links are automatically generated by the Addin based upon the 'Hidden Bookmarks', created by Word when a TOC is inserted in a Word document).

I consider this 'Convert to PDF' Addin in Word a valuable tool : it is a great timesaver to produce readable PDF documents, that contain all necessary Bookmarks and links to navigate the document, starting from Word as a simple authoring tool.
To me, the 'Convert to PDF' Addin is much more than just a replica of the 'File->Print to Foxit PDF Printer' function in the Word Menu; and having tested its possibilities, I will keep that Icon where it is.

So I suggest, give it another try to solve your installation problem : the download version now available worked for me, and the tool looks promising.
