Hello,
I use PDF Editor 1.4 (Build 1325) and experience frequent program CRASHES or HANGS almost every time I try to save an edited PDF document. The temporary file (named "~$***.pdf") is usually created in the original file's directory, but the original file doesn't contain the changes I've made to it. I would greatly appreciate your quick response. David B. |

Your email received and replied.
"~$***.pdf" suggests that it was a temporary file created by the system. Once you shut down your editing file and Editor, it will disappear automatically. We strongly recomend our users to choose "Save As" option to save your works instead of Save to the original file. |

That's strange. We have tested on our side and didn't have this problem. Could you write to our support again and inform us with detailed steops and your original file so that we could duplicate this problem?
Thanks. |

We recently purchased two copies of the foxit editor. One user has told me the it crashes while editing text fields where there are many characters deleted.
What information would be helpful do diagnose this problem? Is there a way to run this program to produce a stack dump / core file with usefull information? FYI: Windows XP with current service packs/updates and the latest version of the editor (1.4) available for download. Thanks John D |
