Setup from this version still doesn't read out user's default path for program files from registry.

e.g. "program files" is called "Programme" on german.

Default Installation?

Could you please supply Creator as an MSI file or at least give some clues to silent installations?

It is unacceptable that the program cannot be installed in a silent mode. The best solution, for me, would be the MSI file so that Creator can be distributed using group policies.

Angry Foxit Creator 1.0 Build 2231 Fails to Install

Hello all,

just wanted to try out the new Foxit PDF Creator on Windows 2000. The Foxit Web page says that Windows 2000 is supported.

Unfortunately, the install aborts prematurely with the following error message (see picture).

What can I do here? Is Windows 2000 not supported any more?

Thank you very much for any helpful hint in advance and kind regards,

DAC324

EDIT: The very same error message appears when trying to uninstall Foxit PDF Creator :(

Hello DAC324,

As Sun tested and attached the screenshot above, Foxit Creator supports Windows 2000 indeed.

To fix the problem you encountered on Windows 2000, could you please help to answer the following questions?

1)What kind of language Windows 2000 you are using? We notice it's not english Win 2000.

2)What version of Windows 2000 you are using, Pro or Server?

3)Are you using the administrator account to log in to the computer?

Our developer has compiled a new beta version of Creator for you to do testing further. Can you please contact me at grace@foxitsoftware.com by email so I can send that beta version to you for trying installing it again?

Look forward to your email!

Best Regards,
Grace Wu
