Hi, today I tried this program for the first time and I am truly amazed at it's simplicity and ease of use.
With that here are few annoyances: 1. View Settings: I want to hide the two windows that show just above the statusbar (the attribute/value on the left and the property box on the right). Personally, it is in my way. There should be an option to hide it in the view menu, just like I can hide the status bar for example! 2. Pointer jumping: When I click on an image - I don't want the pointer to jump to that info window on the bottom right! I often delete a number of objects on a page and it is absolutely annoying to always keep moving back to the page, because the pointer keeps jumping. Please add a setting in the options to turn this behavior off. 3. Page transitions: When I scroll the page with the mouse wheel, I don't want to stop on the bottom of the page, I want to continue onto the next page. Why do I need to go to the toolbars to click the arrow? Let me just scroll, or add an option to keep scrolling. 4. Deleting page, puts me on the previous page: I know Adobe Professional does this as well and it's annoying. When I decide to delete a page, I don't want the view to jump to a previous page. I want the next page to show up. I don't edit documents from the last page towards the first page, I go in the normal direction from front to back. That means that I am most likely done with page 3 and if I don't like page 4 and delete it, than the editor should delete the page 4 and show me page 5 (which becomes the new page 4). 5. Add options to turn off confirmations I don't want to be asked every time I decide to delete a page, whether I actually want to delete it. If I choose to delete the page, I probably know what I'm doing. It's ok to leave these confirmations on as a default for new users, but add option so that experienced users can turn these confirmations off. Ok that's it for now. Like I said, today was my first day using this editor and I'm mostly comparing it to adobe pro, which I'm using as well. I edited about 100 pages, and I like foxit editor much better. I also use foxit reader. If any of these above mentioned annoyances are already somehow addressed in some preference settings that I missed, please let me know. If not, please consider adding the options to your next release. Thanks! |
