No PDFs indexed

I recently installed your IFilter because I
read a report that it is almost 5 times as
fast as Adobe. Sweet!

I have installed and reinstalled according to
your instructions but no PDF files are indexed
and the following error is in the crawl log.

"The filtering process could not be
initialized. Verify that the file extension is
a known type and is correct."

I am running a brand new test install of
Office Sharepoint Server 2007 with SP1 on
Windows Server 2003 SP2 Standard edition.
