  • Document randomly goes blank

I have a user that was generating a multi-page document and then suddenly went blank after page one. There are some blue squiggles on the second page, and it appears that you can still select certain portions of the document as if they are text fields. Reopening the document does nothing, rebooting the PC does nothing. I was unable to locate any references to this issue online or on the forum. Any ideas?

    Dear Causarius,

Sorry for the trouble our software causes to your user.As to this situation you mentioned, please help to ask your user to send us the following information for further analysis:
1:OS information(eg:mine is windows10x64bit) and please go to "Help"tab in Foxit Software>"About Foxit Software"to check its version information.
2:If your user used our Foxit PhantomPDF to create the multi-page PDF files,we need to know how your user generated the PDF file with Foxit PhantomPDF?Did your user print one non-PDF format file with Foxit PhantomPDF printer into PDF file?
3: Does your user still have the original document which is used for generating the PDF file? If so,please help to send us the original document.
4:Would you please help to ask your user to remember"what operations you have done to the PDF file before it got corrupted"?
5:Please send us the problematic PDF file.

To ensure Foxit PhantomPDF to save any changes in PDF file in a fixed amount time, your user could choose to do the save setting in Foxit PhantomPDF by doing as follows:
Go to "File"tab in Foxit PhantomPDF>"Preferences">"Documents",check the option"Automatically save file every__ minutes" ,and input the how many minutes you like there, then click on "OK"button to save the setting.

If it is inconvenience to upload the files here, you may ask your user to email it to support@foxitsoftware.com (Attn:Lisa). And indicate this thread link. Thank you.

    Look forward to your reply.

Sorry for the late reply, just got back from vacation. We resolved the issue by uninstalling, downloading a new copy of the software and installing again. Must have gotten corrupted in the first install. Strange thing though, is that she generated multiple PDFs with Foxit and just the one document had errors.

      Appreciate your assistance, Lisa.
