  • Dynamic Stamps

We are in the process of creating some dynamic stamps to save on printing and manually stamping before re-scanning the document back.

    Is the following possible;

    - Can the created dynamic stamps be locked so that they cannot be edited by a non administrator?
    - Is there any way of hiding the Foxit standard stamps that are available only leaving the created/custom stamps
    - Does the software allow certain custom stamps to only be available to specific users - for example we have different locations that have individual stamps. Can stamps that are specific to location A be hidden from the users in Location B

Any help or assistance on these questions would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    JakeJohnson ,

Thanks for your post ad using Foxit Software. Regarding the questions you referred, please see my inline comments(marked with A :
    - Can the created dynamic stamps be locked so that they cannot be edited by a non administrator?
A:When you logon to computer with A user to create stamps within Foxit PhantomPDF,then those newly created stamps would only be accessed and used by user A since the stamps that we created are stored under current user folder, the location is:
    "C:\Users\[current username]\AppData\Roaming\Foxit Software\Foxit PhantomPDF\Stamps\UserStamps"
So based on the above stamps store mechanism that I referred, non administrator user can't even access stamps which are created by administrator.

    - Is there any way of hiding the Foxit standard stamps that are available only leaving the created/custom stamps
A:We can not hide the Foxit standard stamps directly within our Foxit PhantomPDF. However, you are able to hide them for current login user(computer login account) by renaming to folders by doing as follows:
1:Close Foxit PhantomPDF if you have it opened. Navigate to "stamps" folder in your Foxit PhantomPDF's main installation folder, somewhere like:
    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Foxit Software\Foxit PhantomPDF\stamps"
    or
    "C:\Program Files\Foxit Software\Foxit PhantomPDF\stamps"
It contains a list of folders labeled with abbreviated language names(such as:"en-US" "de-DE""zh-CN",etc).
Please rename one of the folder there depends on which language version of Foxit PhantomPDF you are using.
For example:if you are using English-language version, please rename "en-US" this folder.
2:Please rename this folder "Standard Stamps" which is under the following directory´╝Ü
    "C:\Users\[current username]\AppData\Roaming\Foxit Software\Foxit PhantomPDF\Stamps"
Finally, please reopen your Foxit PhantomPDF again, you will find that all of the Foxit standard stamps are not available under "Comment"tab>"Stamp" in Foxit PhantomPDF.
Note : Please kindly be noted that the above instructions could only be used to hide standard stamps for computer's current login account,so those standard stamps will still be available when other user openFoxit PhantomPDF in the same computer with another login account.

    - Does the software allow certain custom stamps to only be available to specific users - for example we have different locations that have individual stamps. Can stamps that are specific to location A be hidden from the users in Location B
A:As I mentioned in the first point, each computer login user has his own separate stamp folder for saving custom stamps.
