  • Dynamic listbox entries

    Hello,

    Is there a way to make listbox-entries dynamic?

    My plan is to have a check-list over multiple pages, and the pages that aren't checked out are shown in this listbox.
    It would also be preferable if selecting the entry in the list brought you to the right page.

    Example:
    • I have 5 pages plus a frontpage.
    • Each page has 10 checkboxes, plus a "Master"-checkbox, which is manually checked when the page is OK.
    • The frontpage has a listbox that verifies these "Master"-checkboxes, and has an entry for each of them that isn't checked.
    • When the "Master"-checkbox is checked, the corresponding entry dissappears from the listbox.
    • Selecting an entry from the listbox brings your view to the page responsible for that entry.

    Is this plan at all possible, or do I have to find some other way to fix this?

    Will forward your request to our Dev team to see whether it could be achieved via Javascripts or not and get back to you with demo file if the plan could be achieved via Javascripts

      Selecting an entry from the listbox brings your view to the page responsible for that entry -- This feature could be achieved. Please find the attached demo for reference. You could use Select Annotation to check the settings and view the script under Form -- JavaScript -- Document JavaScript.

      For the feature that when a checkbox is checked, the corresponding entry disappears from the listbox, it could not be achieved.

        Thanks.

        The current script works perfectly for it's purpose.

        Would there be some other viable way of representing each unchecked page on the frontpage?
        Doesn't need to be a listbox, but it seemed most appropriate for the task.

          What about using a group of checkbox in frontpage? Firstly, you could change the name of the checkboxes in frontpage to match the name of each 'master' checkbox in the left five pages. In this case, if the master checkbox is checked, the corresponding checkbox in frontpage will be checked as well.
          Then you could add below js to the checkboxes in frontpage so that when a checkbox is not checked, hovering over it will bring your view to corresponding page.

          var c1 = this.getField("Check Box name"); -- change checkbox name
          if (c1.isBoxChecked(0) == false)
          {
          this.pageNum = 2;
          }
          -- change corresponding page number. if it is third page, page num is 2.

          Attaching a demo as well for your reference.
