  • Feedback Performance tweaks over WAN connections?

Doing some testing of Foxit vs. Acrobat over a WAN connections. I am using a test PDF which is 10MB and jam packed full of color images and text. We can open this PDF using Adobe Acrobat in less than 2 seconds however Foxit takes around 10 seconds or 5x slower. We can then speed up Acrobat with some additional tweaks so wondering if Foxit has any 'tweaks' that can be applied to help improve network performance?

    Thank you!

    Dear DaMiBu,

I apologize for any hassle and inconvenience this may cause for you.For this situation you mentioned,we still need to know how you opened the PDF file.
Is it a local PDF file or online PDF file? Did you open it with Foxit web browser plugin within web browser or open it with Foxit Reader application directly?
If it is a local PDF file, please send us the PDF file sample for us to take a closer testing first. If the document is not convenience to send publicly, please help to upload it and indicate this thread link when you mail to us. If it is an online PDF file, please send us the URL link of the online document.

And you may choose to do the following settings in preference dialog box to see if it make any improvement:
Go to "File"menu in Foxit Reader>"Preferences">"General">uncheck the options"Show start page" "Show Advertisement" "Show floating promotion page" ,and check option"Disable ConnectedPDF features">click"OK".
