  • How to check PDF format - change to PDF/A

I created a PDF from MS Word and I wanted to check to see if it used PDF/A format. When I opened the PDF I had a popup that it was created in PDF/A. (DC reader does the same thing) If I look at the PDF properties it shows the format PDF 1.7 - no mention of PDF/A. I guess the popup(s) are the only way to check if PDF/A is enforced - correct?

If I have a PDF that does not show the PD/A message on open is there a way from Foxit Reader to change the format to PDF/A?

To check PDF Standard or change the format to PDF/A, I would encourage you to try the feature available in Foxit PhantomPDF Business. Foxit Reader doesn't have the functionality to check PDF format. Foxit PhantomPDF is free to try out for 14 days. You may download it from Foxit website and give it a try at your convenience. The download link:

    Thank you.
