  • Bug: When Copying and Pasting an image, the results are distorted / stretched

If you copy and paste an image (e.g., screenshot), the result in Foxit Reader on Windows, version 8.3.1.21155, is distorted / stretched.

    Steps to reproduce the problem:
    1. Capture a portion of the screen with Windows Snipping Tool (or OneNote's "Take Screen Clipping", Greenshot, and presumably others)
    2. Open Foxit Reader 8.3.1.21155 > Home > Blank
    3. Click somewhere in the PDF content area
    4. Press Ctrl+V, position the floating image, click
    5. Repeat steps 1,2,4 (step 4 no longer displays a floating image and the pasted result is distorted)

NOTE: Version 8.0.0.624 is NOT affected by this.

I've forwarded this issue to Foxit internal bug tracking system for further processing. Report ID#: QCPHANTOM-2783. You may email to support@foxitsoftware.com to check the processing status at your convenience. Thank you.

Quick update: The Report ID#: QCPHANTOM-2783 (the results are distorted / stretched when copying and pasting an image) has been solved in the internal 9.0 beta version. So the formal release of Foxit PhantomPDF 9.0 should not have this problem. You may keep an eye out on it. Thank you.
