  • Foxit Reader does not start on Debian Buster (testing)

    Hello,

I have installed today the latest version of the Foxit Reader software on the machine powered by the Debian Buster (testing release). Unfortunately the application could not start after the installation. When attempting to run the application, it provides a bunch of errors including erroneous signal/slot connection and a bunch of QSslSocket errors.

The application is unable to start in both scenarios: when using bundled libraries and using provided libraries.

The startup log looks as following:
    > ./FoxitReader.sh
QObject::connect: Use the SLOT or SIGNAL macro to connect CMainWindow::
QLayout: Attempting to add QLayout "" to CMainToolbar "", which already has a layout
QLayout: Attempting to add QLayout "" to CMainToolbar "", which already has a layout
