Foxit Reader hangs when starting

  • Bug Foxit Reader hangs when starting

    Starting last week, whenever Foxit Reader starts it freezes for a good 10-15 seconds before resuming normal behavior. During this time the opened document cannot be scrolled, the window cannot be resized, the menu doesn't work, etc. It happens on all PDF files I've tried. It happens also when starting Foxit Reader directly from the Start Menu (i.e. not by double-clicking a PDF file). When Foxit Reader is already running, opening new PDF files works okay (no freezing).

    I am running Windows 10 Pro. Upgraded Foxit Reader yesterday to 9.3.0.10826.

    I tried the solutions suggested there and nothing worked: disabling ConnectedPDF, renaming the .fpi files, etc.

    I ran Debug mode and am attaching the resulting glog files here.

    Sorry for the trouble. Your issue is similar to our known issue(ID;QCPHANTOM-11844), please help to check if you have signed in Foxit Reader with your email account, if yes, please sign out to see if it helps.
