Feature lock highlight function

hi, I want to highlight few rows with the highlight function without pressing a hotkey or choosing the function every time again. Is there a way?

e.g. lock the function until the user press ESC. Then the user could highlight as many parts oft the pdf as he wishes to.

Thank you for posting here. After you choose Highlight tool, you can click on 'Keep tool selected' option then the tool you choose can be used for ever unless you change a new one.

After you've selected the highlight tool, you could click on "Keep Tool Selected" so you don't have to click the highlight tool every time when trying to highlight mulitple words/sentences. See attaches screenshot that shows where is Keep Tool Selected is.
