Feedback Using Windows Indexing services with a shared folder

Hi,

Our software is using Windows Indexing Service to search for file content. Normally we work with the standard iFilter from acrobat for searching for PDF files. When we use a shared folder within the indexing service. The iFilter doesn't work with shared folders.

Does the iFilter from Foxit works with shared folders? with other words, is there a possibility to impersonate the iFilter process?

Shared folders are not available on the local desktop and that is the reason why Microsoft Indexing Options cannot index it. If you want to be able to indexing it, right click on the shared folder and make it accessible offline. Once you make it accessible offline, Open indexing options and select modify and locate the shared folder to add it to the index.
