  • Feature OCR from command line

Hi. I scan documents directly to a network drive from my scanner. The saved PDFs are not searchable. I would like to be able to run a script periodically which converts the non-searchable PDFs to searchable PDFs. For that I need to be able to run PhantomPDF from the command line with arguments specifying the input files to be OCR'd and the output folder. It doesn't appear to be possible from what I can tell from the documentation, but I wanted to ask to make sure. Is it possible?

I looked a the PDF Toolkit also, but that doesn't seem to support OCR. (I tried used pdf2img and img2pdf, but the resulting pdf was still not searchable).

Sorry, now our PhantomPDF does not support to run OCR from command line, and the PDF toolkit does not have the OCR feature, but I have forwarded your request to our team, they will consider it in future version, report ID:SAT-357.

In addition, when you create pdf from scanner in Foxit PhantomPDF, you can check the option Make searchable (Run OCR), then the created pdf file is searchable. Would you please try the workaround?
