  • FAQ Can't use "Read out loud" and highlighting text at the same time?

    When using FoxitPhantom 9.2 I can't use the "Read out loud" continuously when I want to highlight something:

    Like when I want to highlight a word or sentence I press pause (Ctrl+Shift+P) the Read out Loud function to quickly highlight something, the word/sentence is now highlighted but the word/sentence is also read out loud. Not only is it annoying, but I have to restart the reading from the beginning of the page (Ctrl+Shift+B/V) because the pause function is not available anymore when the word/sentence was read out loud.

    Is there a way to do both? Meaning that I can pause the Read out loud, highlight and the resume Read out loud from where I paused the text?
    I use to do it in the older FoxitPhantom versions

      There is a good news that I would like to share with you, we have released a newer version 9.5 of Foxit PhantomPDF which has already fixed the issue "The comments tools can not work together with Read out loud tool" .
      Would you please help to install the latest version to give it a try at your convenience? You could download the latest version from our official download center below´╝Ü

      In addition, the previous shortcut for Pause (Ctrl+Shift+P) has been assigned to the feature Compare Results>Previous Change in version9.5, but you can change back as the following way;
      1. Right click on toolbar in Foxit, go to Customize the Ribbon.
      2. Go with Keyboard.
      3. Set the shortcut for Compare Results>Previous Change to other.
      4. Set the Shortcut for View>Pause to Ctrl+Shift+P.
