Hello,
We create pdf templates in PhantomPDF with a mix of static text and form fields. These fields are filled in dynamically and a pdf is generated when a user requests a document. Everything works fine until we delete one of the fields at which point it corrupts the pdf. I right click on the field or select the field from the navigation panel and delete it. Then I save the template. From that point forward, any documents generated using that template will be corrupt. However, I can still open the template. As a workaround, I can go into Foxit and create a new pdf from file, import the existing corrupt template file, save it under the same name without making any changes, and everything works as it should. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
EDIT:
I solved this problem by following these instructions from the FAQ (http://www.foxitsoftware.com/support/faq_phantom.php):
18. When I create PDF in a Citrix environment and save it, the created file is corrupted. How can I fix it?
Go to Start menu -> Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Devices and Printers, and right click on Foxit PhantomPDF Printer. Choose Printer properties -> Advanced -> uncheck Enable advanced printing features, and click OK.
I would like to point out that I am not in a Citrix environment. I am using this on Windows 7 professional, but I gave the above a try and it is a workaround for this bug in case anyone else is having this issue.
