It'd be nice to be able to scroll through the colors (or selection of 2-3 colors) with a custom key (set through "Customize tools->Keyboard").

Is there anything else we users could do to help with this feature request?
Sorry that this feature is still under evaluation, hope it will be implemented in future release soon. Any update, we will post here. Your kind understanding is highly appreciated.

We've forwarded your feedback again and let our PM team know that you've been long waiting for this feature and hope it could be considered and implemented in the near future. Foxit PM team needs time to discuss with developer and evaluate the workload, and then update us when we could support this. Any further update, we will keep you posted. You may also email to [email protected] including the suggestion ID#PHANTOM-4528 any time to check the processing status. Thank you again for your kind understanding.

However, this feature still hasn't been added into to-do-list,so it hasn't been implemented yet.

Lisa, thanks for your response. As you rightly say, you have earlier said to other users that you have suggested to implement such a feature. However, this request dates back to 2013! That is 7 years ago! Surely, we cannot legitimately expect that this request is to be implemented after 7 years?

    See the user requests here:
    Requested 2013: https://forums.foxitsoftware.com/for...-comment-color
    Requested 2014: https://forums.foxitsoftware.com/for...tion-for-color
    Requested 2018:

    Requested 2015: https://forums.foxitsoftware.com/forum/portable-document-format-pdf-tools/foxit-phantompdf/148904-request-hotkey-for-quick-highlight-color-change

These are just the once I could quickly find on the forum, it may be the case this feedback dates back even earlier than 2013.

Here you can already see how bothersome it becomes when doing research

    Shortcut to change highlight colour

    Hello,

There is no option to change the colour of highlights once they have been highlighted. I know there is an option to do that manually (see gif), but there is no option to do this with a shortcut. For research that is particularly bothersome because there are many keywords and concepts that require a different highlight colour.

I have seen other posts in this forum regarding this particular matter, and the response has always been that that idea would be forwarded to the developers as feedback, but there been no communication after that. There is a clear need for this. Hence, the option to change highlight colours please be added?

One idea would be to add it in the "Customize Tools" window, under the "Keyboard" tab.
