Thanks, that would be great!
In Okular, you always have type of annotation and color as one bundle. The first 9 of these bundles can be picked out by the number keys. I think this doesn't really go well with the approach that the Foxit Reader takes, but I'm sure you guys can figure something out. I'm looking forward to future releases.Leave a comment:

Sorry, now Foxit Reader for Linux version2.4.4 is the only version, no newer version provided, I have forwarded your request on the newer version with the feature to our team, they will consider it in future version. ID:MACLNX-10099.

Is there any news on this feature? So far, Okular is the only PDF viewer that provides all the features I need, one being the option to use hotkeys to change annotation colors. However, there are a few things about Okular that bother me. The Foxit Reader looks more modern and is nicer to work with. Unfortunately, I still couldn't find a way to change colors (for underlying or highlighting) via hotkeys.
I've downloaded the Linux 64 bit version from the official website. I only just now noticed that it's only version 2.4.4. (there doesn't seem to be a newer version?), so this may be the root of the problem.Leave a comment:

Since this thread already exists I'll refrain from creating a new post, but came here just to support this motion. It is inconceivable how cumbersome it is to highlight documents in more than just one color (useful for research, helps speed things up), and then returning to the default color.
It'd be nice to be able to scroll through the colors (or selection of 2-3 colors) with a custom key (set through "Customize tools->Keyboard").
Is there anything else we users could do to help with this feature request?
Kind regards,
J.Leave a comment:

We've forwarded your feedback again and let our PM team know that you've been long waiting for this feature and hope it could be considered and implemented in the near future. Foxit PM team needs time to discuss with developer and evaluate the workload, and then update us when we could support this. Any further update, we will keep you posted. You may also email to [email protected] including the suggestion ID#PHANTOM-4528 any time to check the processing status. Thank you again for your kind understanding.

flacito ,Thanks for your post. As you mentioned that other users also have requrie that same feature that you mentioned and we have submitted the feature
request "create user's own shortcut keys to switch highlighting colors" to our product management team's reference with suggestion ID#PHANTOM-4528.
However, this feature still hasn't been added into to-do-list,so it hasn't been implemented yet.
I have added your comments this suggestion (ID#PHANTOM-4528) too and also reminded our product management to further consider this feature.
See the user requests here:

Requested 2015: https://forums.foxitsoftware.com/forum/portable-document-format-pdf-tools/foxit-phantompdf/148904-request-hotkey-for-quick-highlight-color-change
These are just the once I could quickly find on the forum, it may be the case this feedback dates back even earlier than 2013.

Shortcut to change highlight colour
Hello,
There is no option to change the colour of highlights once they have been highlighted. I know there is an option to do that manually (see gif), but there is no option to do this with a shortcut. For research that is particularly bothersome because there are many keywords and concepts that require a different highlight colour.
I have seen other posts in this forum regarding this particular matter, and the response has always been that that idea would be forwarded to the developers as feedback, but there been no communication after that. There is a clear need for this. Hence, the option to change highlight colours please be added?
One idea would be to add it in the "Customize Tools" window, under the "Keyboard" tab.
