Combo Box Item List - Maximum Items

What is the maximum number of Combo Box items that can appear on a form? Between two fields I have 171 list items. I can no longer enter additional items to the second combo box, the Add button is grayed out.

My mistake... it was grayed out because I already had an item in the list with the same text. Seems I can keep going. Wonder if there is a limit anyhow.

The list is pretty long. Probably this is the reason everything has become this complicated. I am not sure of what to do, but i guess refreshing the list might be the only option.
