Check Box font size adjustment

Hi, I am trying to adjust the font size of the tick in some check boxes, however the font size is greyed out in the Check Box properties. Is there a way I can adjust the tick size?
I want them to look like this check box from an old document: , however all I can make is this: . This is what I see in the properties:

The text font set is not available for Check box, the mark size in the check box is settled, not changeable.

I cannot try Phantom now, but all other PDF creator softwares let you edit the font size for checkboxes.
