having a text field auto select a specific drop down menu choice

Hi Everyone,

Do you know if there is a way to have a text field automatically choose a specific choice in a drop down menu or have the text field automatically fill out another text field with predetermined data?
I have a text box named "partnumber" and when I have 075044610 in there I want the drop down named "mainboard" to populate with 085-0444-30. If I have the part number be 075-0444-05 i would like the "mainboard" drop down to have 085-0444-20 selected. Also I want the drop down box to be marked read only so it cant be changed once the "partnumber" text field is filled out with those numbers.
