I am currently using Phantom v6.2.0.0429. I used to be able to rearrange the file tabs in the window when multiple files were open, but I am unable to do that now. Is there a setting to change this?
There's no seting to change the rearrangement of file tabs. In this case, may I encourage you to re-install Foxit PhantomPDF pogram at your convenience and see if the issue go away after the re-installation? Thank you.
Thanks Cherry. I tried that and also updated to 621.0618, but the tabs will not move. I was able to move the tabs until installing v620.0429.
Another old issue cropped up around the same time the tabs stopped working. When I use the Typewriter tool to enter a comment the cursor inside the text box jumps to the ribbon. I then have to click inside the text box to continue typing or moving the cursor in the box. It occurs virtually every time I use the TTool.
I run AV and Malwarebytes and my computer is running well otherwise. Any other ideas?
That's really weird. The tabs in Foxit PhantomPDF 6.2.1 can also be moved. The typewriter typing issue in Ribbon is a known issue and has been fixed in future versions. For your current workaround in Foxit Reader 6.2.0, you may go under "File"->"Change Toolbar Mode" to switch to Classic Toolbar Mode.
Is it possible to record a small video of this tabs issue and send to [email protected]? Thank you.
I could do a video but it would not show any activity, which is the problem. If I had 4 files open in sequence 1, 2, 3, 4, I used to be able to change the sequence (i.e. drag #1 to the right of #4 so the sequence would be 2, 3, 4, 1). My problem is that I cannot drag the tabs now - they have not moved since I installed v620.0429 and it did not improve in v621.0618.
As far as the cursor and ribbon I had a very similar problem with v6.1.1 which I corresponded with support about on several occasions. That cleared up in v6.1.2 but it returned around the same time this tab problem showed up.
FYI - I am also having numerous crashes. They had stopped for awhile but have started again recently. I am going to reinstall the program again and see what happens.
I uninstalled, restarted, and reinstalled an older version, but the tabs will not move. I also deleted two programs that I installed around the time this tab problem showed up and that did not help. Unless there is a setting in Preferences that affects the Tabs, it seems like the problem is on my end. If you have other suggestions please let me know.
On the tabs problem I tried several versions and they do not move in any of them. I also uninstalled two programs that were installed near the time this problem showed up, but that did not help either. Unless there is a setting in Preferences that affects the tabs it sounds like the problem is on my end, but I have no clue what it might be. Let me know if you think of anything else.
Has the version with the fix for the cursor problem been released yet?
Version 6.2 has already fixed the mentioned cursor problem. If possible, would you mind emailing to [email protected] to we could start an online screen sharing session so you can show me the problem and see what solution we could come up with? Thank you.
