Feature Start "long time processes" in a different "task"

Hi,
i am searching a software that permit conversion from "images PDF" to "Text PDF"; I must convert a lot of docs every day.
i am trying a evaluating copy of Foxit PhanttomFDF Business that has this feature but, the most important, limit for me is this :

When i start any kind of conversion process application stop responding. This is because conversion process start in the same "task" of main application. This freeze G.U.I.

I have a Quad core CPU and application use only 1 CPU (25%).
I hope that this "limit" will be suppressed in the future release

May I know which feature in Foxit PhantomPDF did you use to start the conversion process? Which version of Foxit PhantomPDF you're having? What about your OS info (E.g. Win7, 64-bit)? Could you please provide a copy for us testing on our side?
