  • Bug Outlook 2010 64 bit Preview Handler error

    We are having an issue with the Foxit Preview Handler in Outlook 2010 64 bit. As soon as we click the Preview File button, we get the following error:

    Click image for larger version

Name:	19-06-2012 15-57-24.jpg
Views:	1
Size:	14.4 KB
ID:	7128
    Here is the translation from Italian:
    It is not possible to show the file preview because of an error in the following Preview Handler:
    <path to FoxitPDFInfo.dll,-101>
    In order to open the file in an external application, please double click on it.
    The problem does not take place with the 32 bit version of Outlook 2010.
    This is strange, since for instance Time Heuer's Preview Handler (http://timheuer.com/blog/articles/fo...w-handler.aspx) which has been developed in collaboration with Foxit Software, works with both 32 and 64 bits versions of Outlook 2010.

    Any help with this problem will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    I suspect the FoxitPDFInfo.dll is not installed completely, would you mind uninstalling it completely and reinstalling it?Please not you should check "Shell Extentions" to install the FoxitPDFInfo.dll file.

      I uninstalled Foxit PhantomPDF suite v.5.2, rebooted as required, and reinstalled it, making sure that the Shell Extensions install feature was checked. The install procedure completed without errors, but the problem is still present.
      I do not think it is an issue related to Win7 UAC, since the installation asks correctly for elevated privileges before starting.

      Any other ideas?

      Thanks
