I have a handful of users who have been having the following happen. They open a PDF from a share on our File server. They add comments, save the PDF. They leave the PDF open in Foxit PhantomPDF and then put their laptop into standby. They power back up on their home network, VPN back into our network and switch to the already open PDF in Foxit Phantom, they say they get a message that the PDF is corrupt from Foxit Phantom. They cannot save the PDF locally anywhere to their computer, nor back to the original location, which they can browse to from Windows Explorer. We have to restore the file from our backups after this happens for the user to be able to open and/or modify it.
I've obviously told the users that it's not a good idea to leave documents open that they opened off the network and then disconnect from the network. They ask me why, as they can do it with their Microsoft Office 2010 documents without issue.
Have I hit a bug? Or is Foxit Phantom working as it should?
