  • Bug Page Size and Ruler does not match

    In PhantomPDF, File > Properties shows the page size = 8.5 * 11 in. If i View > Rulers, a ruler is displayed on the left and top margins. Right clicking on the ruler indicates the unit of measures is inches. However, this ruler indicates the page is approximately 8.75 * 6.8 inches.

    questions:
    1. How do i set a page size?
    2. I need to draw a line at EXACTLY 3.5 inches. How can i know where this exist on my page?

    Thank you.

    Hi joeauthor,

    1) Currently we only have to reprint the PDF document with Foxit PhantomPDF to set a page size.
    2) For the difference between ruler indicated value and document properties, please send us a copy of it so we could take a closer a look at it.

      The attached JPG file shows:
      1. at the lower left it shows the document is 8.5 x 11.00 in. This is correct
      2. The red 'distance' line created with Comments > Measure > Distance shows a distance of 3.50 in.
      3. The measure conflicts with the ruler that is seen in left edge. The ruler shows less than 3 inches.

          Hi joeauthor,

          It works fine on my side, could you please kindly send us following info for further investigation?
          1) Screen size of your PC;
          2) Your Display Resolution;
          3) Your OS info.

            Display =Acer V223W = 23" flat panel
            Display resolution = 1680 x 1050
            OS = Windows 7 Enterprise
            I am not sure what you want for 'screen size of your PC'. This is wrong for 'Full Screen', and as a window. All zoom levels within Phantom show the same results.

              Hi joeauthor,

              It seems there is something wrong with Ruler, the value you measure with Measure tool is correct.
              This issue has been forwarded to our QA team for further investigation, report id:38156
