I've forwarded your request to Foxit features tracking system as well to our PM team for processing. Suggestion ID#: PHANTOM-3062. I've also send out another reminder so the Product team engineer could process this request in higher priority. Thanks for your kind understanding.

We are at version 10 now. Is there any more information about this features? This is quite common for business use and processing large batches of PDF scans...Leave a comment:

We are very sorry to say that this feature is still unavailable, and we have absolutely reported your feedback to our PM team for their evaluation, our PM team have their considerations and strategic Plans. Anyway, I have sent a reminder again to push it, hope it will be implemented in future soon.
Any update, we will keep you informed.Leave a comment:

I would like to second the request for this feature. It's fairly obvious and can't be very difficult to implement. I would think it could be added as a minor upgrade to the current version without much trouble at all — especially since it was promised for version 8 three years ago!
To refresh the problem, if you have a single-sided scanner with ADF, and try to scan -say- 10 pages, you first scan the top side and have a PDF file containing pages 1, 3, 5, 7, 9. Then you take the same stack of pages, flip it upside down, feed it into the scanner and you get a second file, this time containing pages 10, 8, 6, 4, 2. That's the exact order of the pages in the two files the way they are produced by the scanner. If now you try to combine the two files with Phantom, you get a single file with pages 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 10, 8, 6, 4, 2; pages must be moved manually for the file to become usable. http://study2migrate.com

In the meantime, it should not be too difficult to implement it through Javascript — that may be beyond the average user, but maybe someone can create a script and share it for the rest of us to use.Leave a comment:

I recently subscribed and was disappointed to see this feature missing. For merging double-sided scans, I have to use the free version of PDFSam. I hope this gets added to FoxIt Phantom soon.Leave a comment:

Hi,
can I ask some update on this? Short of having the feature supported by the scanner, managing two-sided scan with Phantom is not practical.
To refresh the problem, if you have a single-sided scanner with ADF, and try to scan -say- 10 pages, you first scan the top side and have a PDF file containing pages 1, 3, 5, 7, 9. I would assume it should not be too difficult to add an option on the PDF combine operation that specify the second file to be the second part of a two-sided scan and have Phantom do that automatically. This was a feature for V8.0, then 8.1, then who knows; Phantom is at V9 and still doesn't have this function. Is there any way that it can be implemented?

Sorry, now the current version does not have the option for duplex scanning which we plan to add in future version. So to do double-side scanning in Foxit PhantomPDF, firstly you need to make sure that your scanner itself has duplex scanning feature.
If your scanner supports double-side scanning, please check the option " Configure scanner using scanner's interface" in the scanning dialog box, then you can set the double-side scanning in the scanner User Interface, and Foxit PhantomPDF will just read those scanning settings that you have configured in your scanner to scan document.
About an option for automatically OCR'g scanned files , actually Foxit PhantomPDF has the option in the scanning dialog box, see the attached screenshot.1 PhotoLeave a comment:

Thanks. I just came here to asks this very question. I'm thinking of moving from Acrobat (currently using 9.0) to Phantom but I do a lot of 2-sided scanning. This might be the feature that tips the scales for me.
(If it's not already there, an option for automatically OCR'g scanned files would be nice too)Last edited by reblok; 07-22-2016, 04:38 PM.Leave a comment:

Cherry / Richell, hello.
Now that Phantom 8.0 is out, I was wondering about the status of this (Suggestion ID#: PHANTOM-3062). I understand you mentioned V8.1 in your reply of 04-16-2015 (not the current 8.0), but I was wondering if there's any update on the possible implementation of this feature. Is it still scheduled for 8.1?

Sorry, it is hard to tell when it will be available since V8 is major version that it should cost us a long time to improve performance and implement many new features, and before V8, there are some 7.X versions. Your kind understanding is highly appreciated.Leave a comment:

Hi Cherry. Do you have an estimate release time for V8.1 (ballpark is perfectly fine)?
