Feature Search function not working

Greetings:

I have encountered PDF documents prepared by others that cannot be searched in Phantom (version 5.0.3.0811).

Every attempt gives no results.

I've tried to look at the file's properties to see if I can change a setting and enable the search function, but to no avail.

Any help would be sincerely appreciated.

Is it a scanned file? you can just click View->Text Viewer to check whether the texts you want to search is displayed on the screen, if it displays blank which means the file is scanned file and you can not search for it until you use OCR feature before doing that search.
