  • Bug Ctrl + Mouse Scoll Zooming Behavior Changed From Previous Versions

The Ctrl-Mousewheel zooming is a very convenient feature, especially when you are viewing a large diagram and want to check details of a small area.

In version 4.3.1 or earlier, the center of zooming is the mouse cursor, and remains at the same location during zooming. For example, if you point the mouse cursor to a word and do Ctrl mouse wheel scroll, the location of the word does not change whatever the zooming scale is. This behavior is very nice and is consistent with most other programs.

However, in recent versions (I tested 5.4.4 and 5.4.5), this behavior is broken and the document seems to be jumping randomly. If you zoom in and then zoom out to the original scale, you will not go back to the original view location.

This is very annoying, so for now I am still using 4.3.1. Hopefully it will be fixed soon.

    Thank you.

    Hi xpgtd,

This mentioned zooming focus related issue has been fixed in Foxit Reader 6.0 which is under beta testing. The formal version will come out soon. You may keep an eye out for it. Thank you.
