MMM
Would you please help email your issue to [email protected]? We can follow up your case via email.
In addition, let me know the version of Foxit Reader you use, and would you please help to make a video that shows how to reproduce the problem for our referencing? You may use the LiceCap tool to generate an animated gif
Here's the download link:
(Unzip it, double-click on licecap file, you can then specify the recording area then hit "Record", it requires naming the file first then start recording.)
Thanks.

"Save As" problem

No, I have checked every option & there is no saved location and I don't want a preferred location. I want to save to whatever file the individual file requires at the time. (Saving to a preferred location is silly!) It is currently defaulting to my "Downloads". That is why i have asked you to assist. (Is there any way of having your response emailed to me or at least notifying me that you have responded, please?)

MMM ,Would you please help to check if you have set a prefered save as location in your Foxit application? If so,please choose to deleted the preferred location there to see if it helps? Please do as follows:
Go to "File" tab in Foxit Reader>"Preferences">"Documents",please delete the folder path which is displayed in the blank filed under 'Preferred Save As Location' ,click on"OK" to save the setting.

Correct. "want to save email pdf attachment to local folder but it is saved to a default location directly"
(Ps Thankyou for your response. However, I just logged-in to see if someone had answered as I didn't receive emailed notification that you responded (??))

I am logged-in (i am a new member, long time user) to the forums and want to change the default save location back to "Browse" (when saving from an email, for example). It recently stopped doing this and now just goes toa default folder, which I hate!
(When I try to begin a new ticket I am presented with a sign-in form (even tho I am already signed-in!? Why can I use this msg form and reply to other posts but not begin a new ticket?)

Many thanks, changing the selection to pdf solves the problem for me (glad to see I was not alone). Now "Save As" defaults to pdf and all is as it should be.

which browser ?

Yes, I've faced the same problem and it didn't convert to pdf, perhaps it didn't recognize files?

When you say "Browser" you mean "Foxit" software? I do make the change to "pdf" from "all files" and it does not stick. Perhaps a reinstall?
