Solution:
Foxit PhantomPDF Business 7.1.3.0320 & any version.

You can apply some step for retrieve the classic toolbar.
1. you go 'regedit' in RUN
2. click into 'HKEY_CURRENT_USER' and than click Software
3. and delete 'foxit software'
4. open Foxit from program
5. and register again.
Now seen your Classic Toolbar.

For some good luck I did not upgrade since 2015. Unfortunately a few days ago it happened. Will either revert to good old classics-enabled Foxit or switch to PDF-XChange (I have the license for its full version I only used to edit the pdfs but it has a good set of free features comparable to Foxit).

To Foxit team. Ribbons are NOT popular. Micro$oft pushes them for their own esoteric reasons but almost nobody but M$ uses them. On my computer, the only ribbon I have to use is in Windows Explorer which I use very rarely. All other apps feature either classical menus/toolbars (which is in my opinion the most convenient interface for a desktop) or mobile-like menu buttons (like Chrome). You should understand that your product's audience are tech-savvy people who need speed, convenience and features, all of that. Those who only need speed will move to Sumatra or likes and the vast majority who just needs to read the pdfs and does'n care will use Adobe reader the slow monster or (God save) built-in Window$ viewer the nightmare. For us geeks you only left speed and features getting rid of convenience.

Be very thankful that version 7.28 is available to temporarily heal the wound or you would have lost much of your customer base. For each post there are many dissatisfied users who have not expressed their dismay and outrage. This destruction of confidence and loyalty impacts your paying products. It is not something you can easily or quickly recover from.

Registered purely to say... I hated the "ribbon" when Office 2007 came around, I still hate it now. After FoxIt Reader updated to 7.3 just now I "upgraded" my experience with 7.2, reverted to normal and proper toolbar and turned off updates. Ribbon takes too much room and frankly I don't think it was ever necessary. What do I need or want from a PDF reader. Show me the document. Allow me to search and "turn pages", change the view size, print. It's not rocket science and a nice simple toolbar UI is perfect.

Due to this annoying RIBBON I am going to downgrade Foxit Reader to an older version.
Whenever I cannot use that because of a new feature missing I will switch to a normal reader that does not reduce the usable reading surface with this annoying MS style.

I have just done it. Uninstalled the 7.3 and installed the 7.2.8 I found on the web.
Auto update is disabled.
and NO RIBBON ))))

I write a new topic with AUTO-UPDATE problem.
Why this topic is not displayed?
FR 5.0 forced auto update to latest version. Even if "do not automatically update" is checked.
This happens for differents time during last months. (strange....only after deadline of classic toolbar....)
Why this happens? You are forcing peoples to newest (bad) version?

Every some days i found FR updated....but is every checked "don't automatically update"!!!!!
Why you force me to new bad version!
Please give me a stable 5.0 version. Is perfect for me. 7.x is too big and with unwanted ribbon!

I checked back here today in the hope that Foxit has seen some sense and there is a new version available complete with menus. But no. So they're still not listening? I'll stick with 7.28 for a while longer, since I've been a longtime Foxit user, but I think I'll move to Sumatra if the menus don't come back. Ten years of ribbons and I still don't like them. AutoDesk are trying to make us use ribbons too, and the pushback is fierce. They took away the "classic" workspace option a couple of versions back, and the internet has filled with forum threads of outrage and tips on how to turn off the ribbons and get menus back. Jeepers, do developers never learn?

Why Foxit force update from 5.0 version to latest?????
Even i checked flag "don't automatically update"?
This happens more times during last months...it's very annoying to downgrade everytime my PC and PCs of my colleagues (we don't like ribbon!)
